Chop Wood, Carry Water

Chop Wood, Carry Water

Or maybe it’s chop water, carry wood?

When the nights dip low enough to leave a nice thick layer of ice on the goat’s water and you have to jab at it with the nearest, sharpest object…

And the forecast calls for even lower temps and the potential for rain fall to shift into snow flurries and the house is cold (and the bedrooms upstairs are even colder)…

It could easily go either way.

But hey, it could be worse…

I could be molting like Lavender Lily here:

Lavender Lily-Molting

Poor girl, she looks like death warmed over, doesn’t she?

Oh, but there’s stew on the stove, a fire burning warm and bright, good neighbors nearby, and water from the tap to top off the ice chunks.

Life is good.

Wishing you a lovely week ahead, my friends!

xoxo,
M
