Welcome to Week 14 of our Local Bite Challenge and our 14th Mini Challenge! Can you believe we’ve intentionally eaten as locally as possible for almost 100 days?!
We’ve eaten one local item that was new to us, sown some seeds, prepared one fully local meal, and enjoyed Restaurant Week!
We’ve researched U Pick Farms, swapped one non-food item, investigated local Community Supported Agriculture opportunities, and looked into community gardens in our areas!
We’ve investigated food origins, swapped one beverage, used all of an item to create a yummy meal, we enjoyed the company of family and friends during our individual Local Bite Food Independence Potlucks, and then we focused on Preserving to local bounty!
Whew! We’ve been busy!!!
So, now what?
Now, we make a plan about how to continue the amazing habits that have been created throughout this challenge! We reflect on how the challenge went, what we might have done differently, what we struggled with, and what we thoroughly enjoyed! Now, we set intentions on how we’d like to move forward and we make a plan on how we can achieve our goals!
So, with the official 100 day mark/end of the challenge being Monday, July 21st, please take some time to reflect on your experiences and make a plan for the way forward! What we’ve done here with this challenge has been amazing! Give yourself a pat on the back, crack open a local beer or a local bottle of wine (or maybe even some apple cider) and enjoy it thoroughly! Celebrate your accomplishments because you are a ROCK STAR!
I will be doing all of the above and will post here shortly with my reflections 🙂
Also, as a favor to me, I would absolutely love it if you would fill out this short survey about your experiences throughout the Local Bite Challenge! This is a simple way to help me with my own reflections on how my facilitation of the challenge went for you! As a THANK YOU, completing the survey before Thursday, July 31st at midnight MST (and leaving me your email address in the final question) will place you in a drawing for one item of your choice from Fed By Threads Locally Grown Collection!
Win, win, right?
