Today marked the first day of real snow for the season. If I had to guess (because I didn’t measure), I’d say we got about a foot…and I am grateful for every inch of it! And, really, did you know that shoveling snow just might be the best workout ever? Yep. I always forget how hard and sweaty it is, but the neighbors and the chickens are grateful for my efforts, I am sure, which makes it worth it in the end.

So, after a cozy day spent inside, I’m looking forward to more snow, more shoveling and more chickens standing on one foot trying to figure out what’s up with all the white stuff! Winter isn’t my favorite season, but I do appreciate the quite that it brings

xoxo,
M
