We found out a couple of days ago that Baby, the wonderful goat we milk twice a week, was attacked by a dog that got into their pin last Sunday 🙁 Her owner thinks she will be OK, with just a few scrapes, though she is on antibiotics to ensure her proper healing.
Regardless of the injuries, I imagine it must have been quite scary for her and her family! They will all be in our thoughts until we can see them again.

I’m a fairly new reader to your blog… but I am very wary of dogs running loose… though we have three, they are always on our property. We had a huge attack from three neighbor’s dogs a few years ago, losing a huge beloved turkey to them, and many chickens. It is one bad thing about the country.

Welcome Mary Ann!!! We’re not sure who got into the pen or how yet. Her owner is taking good care of her, though, and we’re hoping this was a freak accident. Dogs can be wonderful companions, but they can also be quite terrifying.
