Working since 6:00 this morning in an effort to flex a little time this afternoon with Sprout since I’ll be working all.day.long. tomorrow, the house and property were quiet for hours before everything (everyone) began stirring.
As per our agreement, Kim was to take care of Sprout and the animals while I hammered out some Training Prep for tomorrow and some email and general office catch up the week.
And so here I sit, caught up on work stuff (enough) for now to take a short break before showering, going in to town and getting some more work done.
The work days are busy and long (it’s a good thing I like my job, ha?), but now, right this minute:
- The rooster is crowing
- The chickens are chirping and pecking
- The turkeys are gobbling
- The sky is the most gorgeous shade of blue
- Ashes the Cat is strolling through a sunspot
- The Cottonwood leaves are turning the most delicious shade of yellow
- My wife and daughter are chatting on their way to let out the goats
- The goats are calling on them to quicken their step
- Life is good. Very good.
