I realized a few days ago that, despite leaving the hustle and bustle of the city and moving to an amazing property with gorgeous views, abundant shade trees, and peace and quiet, we haven’t actually spent much time outside.
I know, for shame.
Between unpacking, setting up house, being super stressed, travelling, and life in general, I guess I just got in the groove of keeping my head down and going through the motions of each day…inside.
So, upon realizing what a disgrace this is, Sprout and I have been spending as much time as we can over the past few days just enjoying being outside.
No chores or motives, just time spent.
There have been copious amounts of pictures taken and dirt eaten, birds listened to and grasshoppers watched.
It has been divine.
The property we are living on now really is a beautiful place and I have promised myself and Sprout that we will do better to actually enjoy it, even as the seasons shift and the temperature drops.

It looks idyllic in your neck of the woods! We are still enjoying the little bit of autumn left before the snow flies (in Wisconsin) here. We too just moved, so inside time became priority. I can totally relate!
