Ever Growing Farm Tour – August 2014

Alright, who can believe it’s already August?!

August has always, as a mother and a summer camp/after school program manager, signaled the end of summer…until now…

Now that my eldest is grown and out of the house and my youngest is years from a school bell…Now that my job revolves around our house and home instead of the public school’s calendar, August just means we still have time, plenty of time, for our garden to grow and to produce!

So, yes, I’ve found myself in a very different rhythm this summer than any summer in my adult life and it’s weird.

However weird it is, though, it is wonderfully affording me the space and time to actually enjoy the garden we’ve put so much time and effort into. And, as simple as that seems, and as humble as it is, it’s truly become my meditation, my peace, my motivation, and a source of great pride (weeds, bugs, and clutter included).

So, with it raining again (Thank you, Mother Nature!) on this chillier than normal August afternoon, here’s the August farm tour in all her 1/8 acre glory 🙂

I hope that, whatever you’re doing is bringing you joy (and pride) today.

xoxo,
M
