MATERIALS:
Construction paper of different colors, glue, scissors
TIME FRAME:
30- 60 minutes
PROCEDURE:
- Decide which colors will be for the petals of your flowers and which colors will be for the stems and leaves. Keep one sheet of the paper whole so you can glue your flowers to it.
- Cut your petals and leaves into elongated football shapes.
- Cut long pieces of paper out for the stems of your flowers.
- Start gluing down your stems by putting a small dab of glue for each stem near the bottom of your sheet.
- Place the end of each stem on each dab of glue and allow to dry for a few minutes (do not glue down the entire stem).
- Next, gently lift up the end of one of your stems that not glued down and decide where you would like to glue it so that it is not flat on the paper. You can do this by gently bending the stem until it is “jumping off the paper” as high as you’d like it to.
- Now, place a dab of glue on the paper where the end will rest, place the end of your stem on the glue and hold it there for a few minutes so it will stick. Then repeat the process with the rest of your stems.
- Then, take the petals for your flower and wrap the gently around one of your fingers so it curls
- Once you’ve curled several petals, begin gluing them down by only gluing one end of the curl to the paper (this will allow the petals to “jump off” the paper as well.
- Continue gluing down petals and leaves until you feel it is complete!
TIPS & IMAGININGS:
- Imagine how the word would look if everything looked like a picture on a page instead of the multi-dimensional world we live in!
- What else might you be able to create with paper that could help it look a little more like “real life” than just a picture on a piece of paper?

where are the pictures?
No pictures because I haven’t taken any of the process with my personal camera. Eventually I will, but for now, let your imagination run wild! 😉
