Newbie #1, “What the heck is that green thing?!”
Newbie #2, “I don’t know! Go check it out!”
Newbie #1, “I’m not checking it out! You go check it out!”
Hen #1, “What the hell?! Are you guys kidding me? If you don’t eat that, I’m gonna come over there and eat it myself! Dumbasses!”
Newbie #1, “Oh shit! Did you see her? She’s huge!
Just eat it already!”
Newbie #2, “OK, OK!”
Newbie #2, “Oohh…this is good! Come get some!”
Hen #1, “She better bring some of that over here or I’m gonna
have to bust outta here!”
Hen #1, “YAY! She’s here! Give her space Ladies!
Give her some space!”
“Nom, nom, nom…”
Hope you’re enjoying a (deliciously) fantastic day!

We definitely need to see more of these posts. This was hilarious! You could create your own cartoon strip 🙂 Cheers, Jenni

Lol…thanks, Jenni! It was fun to be part of it as it all unfolded 😉

My silverbeet, bok choi and sorrel plants have all discovered how much chickens like greens. All went from beautiful specimens to hole ridden and very sad looking plants when I let the hens free range throughout the garden. Currently working on ways of fencing areas off.

Oh yes, they will eat them all down to the ground if allowed! Unfortunately, this is why our chickens aren’t allowed to free range all year round. It is why, however, I so thoroughly enjoy treating them to greens in their run every chance I get 🙂
