I have found my new favorite snack!!! Brie, bees and baguettes! OK, maybe not bees, but that delicious golden stuff they produce 😉
While in Milwaukee over last weekend visiting my very best friend, we stopped in this little restaurant and had some apps and wine. The app was so good, we went out the next day and bought all the supplies to make it at home!
Here’s what to do:
- Slice up your baguette and place your slices in your oven at 400 degrees just long enough to gently toast both sides (about 3 minutes on each side).
- Once toasted, take your slices out of the oven and drizzle a little bit of olive oil over the top of each slice.
- Next, place a slice of brie on top of each slice of bread and place in the oven again just until the brie begins to melt.
- Remove your slices from the oven and place them on a plate. Then, drizzle some of your favorite honey over the top of them all.
- Pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy!
I’m telling you…super simple…super fast…absolutely delicious!

i love to use fresh raw honey from the hive when i can find it. it adds a unique flavour to all our foods even drizzled over the steamed vegies is a treat.
Apps? I’ve only just started using it for things you can put on your phone – does it also means good food?
Hi Liz! For this post, “apps” means appetizers 🙂 Sorry for the confusion! I have recently started using apps for my phone, too…such a learning curve, but pretty cool! Hope you’re having a happy weekend!
