A couple of weeks ago I found this post on braided Challah made on the BBQ and knew I had to try it! It was just so beautiful! On Sunday I finally got around to throwing it all together, but I decided to throw it in the oven instead of on the BBQ since I was also attempting to focus on homework and didn’t want to have to watch it very carefully 🙂
It took me a minute to figure out the whole braiding thing (sometimes I’m a bit special in that way…always trying to over think everything!) but once I got it down I was very excited! It’s almost perfect! This just might be the easiest and most beautiful bread I’ve made yet!

Beautiful! We love experimenting with bread.
It’s stunning!!
I love Challah. I haven’t had it in years. I should look up a recipe.
Yours is beautiful.
Thanks! The link to the recipe I used is the post 🙂 Happy baking!!!
Wow, that really is beautiful! We have a BBQ that makes perfect toast (I’m hoping it still works since we’ve been using a charcoal-fired Smokey Joe for the past few years!), so I suppose it would do a good job of baking bread, so I’ll definitely be giving that recipe a try. I do have qualms, however, as to my ability to figure out the braiding 😉
Yay! And hey, don’t worry about the braiding 🙂 I may, however, do a how to at some point (do you think it might be appreciated?) since the directions I followed didn’t work very well with how my brain works :-/
I’d be pretty excited too…….looks fantastic!!!
How did it taste?
It is absolutely delicious!!! And it made for a yummy grilled cheese with green chile and bacon added in, too 🙂
It looks divine.
Shiny and spectacular!
