Astra over at A Journey to a Dream has been kind enough to tag me as someone she thinks is interesting! How sweet is that?! Astra is just amazing (kind, smart, driven and super positive) and I love reading the pieces of her journey that she chooses to share on her blog!
So, now that I’ve been tagged, I get to answer the 11 questions she has set forth for me, then I get to tag 11 people I think are interesting as ask them 11 questions as well! Here goes…
1. Where is your favourite place in the world? Tell us why?
My favorite place in the world has always been a little spot north of here near the tiny town of Truchas. It is a space from which you can look out at all the mountains and valleys and imagine the world as it used to be. It is simply breathtaking.
2. What person has inspired you most?
My dad. He is the most grounded, non-judgmental, trusting, straightforward and kind man (and person) I’ve ever had the joy of knowing.
3. Who would you like to be stuck in an elevator with?
Across time and space, I would like to be stuck in an elevator with Rumi, Jimi Hendrix, Maya Angelou & Albert Einstein. We’d all have some fun and learn a bit while stuck in that box!
4. What’s your middle name?
Vision
5. City, coast or country?
Country. No doubt. I love, love, love the quiet of it! It just feels like home.
6. What is the best surprise you’ve ever had?
Hmmm…probably the surprise party Tool Lady threw for me for my 30th birthday. Despite the horrible weather she got everyone who matters to me to show up at a friends house. I was completely surprised.
7. What is your favorite silly joke?
I wish I could tell you one but I’m not a joke person. At all. I usually just shake my head when people tell me silly jokes…and maybe smile a little…but I never remember any of them.
8. Could you live without TV? How easy would you find it?
I could absolutely live without TV, it would be so super easy! Now music is another story. I could not live without music.
9. What were you like as a 3 year old? (as far as you know)
When I was 3 I loved to play outside in the garden naked. I have pictures to prove it, too…apparently my mom thought all the frolicking was picture worthy. I also liked to sneak outside in the middle of the night to sleep with our neighbors Husky.
10. Describe your most cherished photograph?
My most cherished photograph…wow…just one? OK…I’ll have to say a photo I have of my maternal Grandma holding my daughter when she was a newborn. Those were some beautiful moments. There’s one shot where they’re holding hands and the contrast is just magical. I don’t have a digital copy of it, so I just took a photo of the photo 🙂
11. What impulse paid off?
So many! I am a planner, but it seems the best things happen when they just happen! Deciding to give it a go with Tool Lady, quitting a job I hated even though it equaled security, getting chickens…
OK, so now I get to pick 11 questions to ask 11 people that I find interesting!
My questions, adapted from Astra, are:
1. Where is your favourite place in the world? Tell us why?
2. What person has inspired you most?
3. Who would you like to with have over for dinner (famous or not, currently living or not)?
4. Where were you born?
5. City, coast or country?
6. What is the best surprise you’ve ever had?
7. What is your favorite song and why?
8. What are you most passionate about?
9. What were you like as a 3 year old? (as far as you know)
10. Describe your most cherished photograph?
11. What have you done that you are the most proud of?
And here are 11 people I find interesting…
