Happy Monday everyone! Better late than never, right?!
Last week was pretty slow in the Garden Department with the exception of Wednesday evening when we decided to pull everything in the 4X6 raised bed (AKA the crazy tomato bed) to avoid losing it all to a freeze while we were out of town over the weekend. Pulling everything meant the end to several crops, but we figured it would be worth it in the end. I’ll write more later about the massive amounts of tomatoes that are ripening in our garage and I’ll count the poundage of those tomatoes as they ripen up slowly.
Here’s a shot of the harvest basket, fuller than it’s ever been before! |
Lemon Cucumbers |
Jalapenos and Bell Peppers |
Tomatoes!!! The reds… |
The yellows… |
The cherries… |
Carrots! |
Basil! |
This little guy came out of one of the beds in the backyard. |
This weeks totals:
Tomatoes = 5 pounds 6 ounces
Jalapenos = 4 ounces
Lemon Cucumber = 1 pounds 10 ounces
Bell Peppers = 5 ounces
Carrots = 1 pound 2 ounces
Basil = 1 ounce
Pumpkin = 15 ounces
TOTAL OF 10 pounds 5 ounces!!!
Harvest Monday is hosted by Daphne at daphnesdandelions. Check out what she’s harvesting, as well as what many, many others are harvesting!

Thanks, Allison! It was a good harvest 🙂 I’m a little sad though, as it was the last big one of the year. On to fall veggies we go!
Wow great harvest! I would KILL for all those tomato’s!! And those carrots look great!
Thanks, Liz! There always does seem to be a theme. It’s never on purpose, though! I think the garden has a secret plan that it doesn’t tell me about 😉
I love your harvests – they always seem to have a colour theme – today yellow! Beautiful.
