Happy Monday everyone!
Not much to report this week…I almost didn’t post…but then decided that any harvest is better than no harvest at all! So…yay for 4 pounds!!! I’m still hoping to make the 200 pound mark before the end of this year.
Fingers crossed!!!
All of this weeks tomatoes were turned into tomato sauce to go on our ravioli. They’re ripening very quickly in the garage and I’m now doubting that we’ll have tomatoes for Thanksgiving, but I guess time will tell 🙂
This weeks totals:
Tomatoes = 3 pounds 12 ounces
Kale = 4 ounces
TOTAL OF 4 pounds this week!!!
Harvest Monday is hosted by Daphne at daphnesdandelions. Check out what she’s harvesting, as well as what many, many others are harvesting!
HAPPY HARVESTING!!!

Barbie – You’re right! Garage ripe IS still ripe 😉
Brie – So close! Fingers definitely crossed!
Shanon – Thank you! I’m envious of all your canned tomatoes! Your pantry inspires me!
Liz – YES! There’s not much better than homemade ravioli…especially with fresh sauce!
Emily – This is our first year having a successful tomato crop…we’re very excited about it all!
Jody – Thank you 🙂 They have been pretty good, but definitely not the same. I’m already longing for next summer!!!
You have a very nice harvest for this time of year. At least the tomatoes might taste a little better because they’re ripening quickly.
Even though the flavor is not as good, it’s always nice to have the green tomatoes ripening long after the plants are gone.
Excellent! You are close to the satisfaction of reaching your 200 lb goal!
Its especially worth talking about if you use it on homemade ravioli! Really interesting mix of fillings.
I’m envious of your tomatoes. We are almost out of fresh tomatoes and soon it will be on to all those canned jars in our cellar. –S
MMM… my maters are teeny tiny so ripe is GOOD even if they are garage ripe. 🙂
