Sprout’s Nursery (Preview)

Today we celebrate, with friends and family, the impending arrival of our Little One, Sprout!

With an official due date of October 9th, we are one month out and the preparations are in full swing!  Tool Lady is feeling good (though tired) and our Sprout is quite active all the time!  Flips and elbows and toes in ribs and really, who knew babies could get the hiccups so often?!?  I’ve forgotten some of this since I was pregnant with Fish Girl 19 years ago!

34 weeks

Anyhow, I figured that, while we’re out partying it up today, I’d give you a sneak peak at our gender neutral nursery (nope, we never did find out the sex of the baby)!  We chose yellow and aqua for their sheer joy and are working with a variety of other colors as accents and decorations including whites (some furniture, shelves and curtains) and browns (more furniture, blinds and closet doors – wood in a variety of tones).

The majority of what’s in the nursery, up until now, is second hand…either passed down through friends or purchased at amazing prices through consignment-type sales or garage sales.  We’re very happy with how it’s all turning out and I do promise to show you more once we have it all a bit more pulled together!  In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed your little tease 😉
I hope that, whatever you’re doing today, it is joyous!
xoxo,
M

It looks lovely. I love yellow. So happy and cheerful. The artwork above the crib is adorable.

October 9th isn’t too far away… everyone must be so excited.

    Wishing you a lovely day.

Thank you! Yes, we are *so* very excited about it all…and it’s *so* close…and there’s still *so* much to do! 🙂 It’s good that the baby doesn’t care how clean our walls are 😉
