Last Seasons Clean Up

What happens when you put off cleaning up parts of the yard?
Yeah…you wind up being forced to do it before you get to put some new seeds in the ground.

The over-sized bean trellis we created last year utilizing two of our beds and the top of our portal was beautiful and very productive. However, it’s also incredibly difficult to clean up because it involves getting up on a ladder…and I hate ladders.  So, anything that couldn’t be reached by hand last fall, stayed put.
So now, in order to plant our tomatillos, bush beans and cucumbers in the little beds at the end of our porch, the beans must be cleaned up. Wish me luck on that ladder!  😉

Lol…yes, I must recover those beautiful (and bountiful) dried beans! The only problem is…where do I plant them this year with limited vertical space???

I spy some dry pods with next seasons seeds in ‘up there’ -that would have me scurrying up quick as a wink. I’m fixated on gathering “free” seeds for the next season LOL
