Fluffy Bottoms & Quirky Ways

Fluffy Bottoms & Quirky Ways

I’ve found myself in this pattern recently…walk outside, check the chickens, feed the chickens, water the chickens, collect the eggs, go back inside…Repeat as necessary.  It’s cold outside and not appealing to my senses, so I haven’t been spending much time out there.  I have found, though, that I’ve been missing the chickens.  Actually missing them, their fluffy bottoms and their quirky ways.  So, a couple of days ago, instead of running in and running out of their coop as quickly as possible, I decided to just hang out with them for a while.  It was cold, yes, but I bundled myself up and hardly noticed.  It was so nice to have them around my feet, to listen to their voices and watch their silly antics for a little while.  I really must do it more often…
Hope you’re enjoying a beautiful day, wherever the day takes you.
xoxo,
M

I know exactly what you mean, our hens used to free range in our back garden, hopping up on the windowsills to say hi and i could see them all day. Since the wet winter weather has come in tho they are just destroying the garden/lawn so we’ve had to build an enclosure round the back of the shed, now i only see them in the morning and evening and i really miss them!

some people think im crazy when i say about how much personality chickens have and how funny they are but i know you get what i mean 🙂
