Last night, while checking on Broody’s food and water, we found this…
Yep, that’s an actual egg! And guess what? She wasn’t laying on it!!! She was walking around, eating, drinking and being calm! Amazing!

It’s probably too soon to tell if she’s really past her wild mood swings and bullying behaviors…We’ll keep her in solitary confinement and wait a couple more days to see if she keeps up the laying and the calmness…And we’ll have to see what she does if we put her back into the coop with the other Ladies…But maybe, just maybe, she’s snapped out of her crazy broodiness???

My son gets a bit moody when he is backed up so to speak – perhaps she is the hen equivalent….

She laid another egg tonight…so I am definitely hopeful! The real test will be when we put her back in the coop this weekend…
