Harvest Monday!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!
This week brought more tomatoes (thank goodness), the last of (the second round of) spinach, a couple of carrots and a few more snap peas…

…and the very first summer squash of the year!!!

Yay for a little variety (even though I didn’t get pictures of everything)!!!

This weeks totals:
Snap Peas = 4 ounces
Tomatoes = 14 ounces
Carrots = 2 ounces
Spinach = 5 ounces
Squash = 7 ounces

Harvest Monday is hosted by Daphne at daphnesdandelions.  Check out what she’s harvesting, as well as what many, many others are harvesting!

HAPPY HARVESTING!!!

    Brie – I love summer squash in calabacitas! And they’re usually ready for harvest right around the time Hatch starts showing up everywhere…it’s like they were meant for each other 😉

    Thanks everyone! The yellow theme was just a happy accident that turned out nicely 🙂

    RandomGardener – I have to admit that the yellows are not quite as tasty as the reds, but they are the first to ripen, so that makes them perfect…for now 😉

    Daphne – This was my second year attempting to grow spinach through the summer. Last year was perfect…this year, not so much…it all went to seed last weekend…literally overnight. It’s just too darn hot and dry!!!

    I can’t believe you are still getting spinach. I’m wondering if I’ve ever harvested spinach and tomatoes in the same week and I don’t think I have.

    Nice looking squash. The color of the day is yellow, and I love it ; ) I have seeds for a squash like that. Maybe next year is the time.

    Yay for the first summer squash. Your tomatoes look nice. I wish I had gotten one of those small pear tomatoes for my son. I think he would have liked it. He isn’t as fond of the red ones.

    I guess unlike Daphne – you LIKE yellow in your garden. ;-)Teehee.
    Looks summery fresh.
